In lieu of our temporary clinic closure due to Covid-19, we would like to announce that we are now offering “Telehealth” appointments to our valued patients. Telehealth involves a one-on-one consultation with your Physiotherapist, Chiropractor or Kinesiologist through a secure web video conferencing platform.
The video consultation will take place in a similar way as if you were in the clinic. Your practitioner will check in on your progress, re-assess your functional abilities and guide you through exercises and self-management techniques to facilitate your recovery. Virtual care has been shown to achieve similar outcomes as in-person visits for several conditions.
How does it Work?
- Book an Appointment– Just like usual, you can book online or call 604-428-3006. For your first appointment please select the “Telehealth Virtual Appt.- INITIAL” option. If you do not see your practitioner available, please call us for assistance.
- Appointment Instructions- Once you have booked your appointment, you will receive an email confirmation. Within that email click on “Begin Online Appointment” to receive information about system requirements and how to join your appointment (do not click on “I Consent, Begin Online Appointment” until the time of your session).
**Note: This video platform requires Chrome or Firefox browser. It is not IOS compatible. Your practitioner will contact you by email once your appointment is booked. If you need to do your appointment on an IOS device (iphone or ipad) your practitioner will arrange for another platform to be used.
- Joining your Virtual Appointment- A few minutes before the time of your appointment, open your confirmation email and click on “I consent, Begin Online Appointment”. Once your practitioner joins, the appointment will begin.
How will I be Billed?
Following your appointment, you will be billed just as in a standard clinic visit. An invoice will be emailed to you (it will denote that service was delivered by Telehealth).
Does my Extended Health Provider Cover Telehealth?
Telehealth is becoming increasingly prevalent and many extended health benefit providers, such as Great West Life, Sun Life and Pacific Blue Cross, cover Telehealth appointments. For other providers, we suggest calling to inquire about their policy on Telehealth coverage. We are currently exploring direct billing options for Telehealth appointments, if you have would like to inquire, please call 604-428-3006.
Can I do Telehealth for my ICBC Claim?
Yes! ICBC just approved Telehealth visits for all active claims for Chiropractic, Physiotherapy and Kinesiology. We would love to resume your management plan to ensure continued progress so please call or book online.
